As the Additional Labour Commissioner (Industrial Relations), Government of Karnataka, my role is to ensure a fair, balanced, and harmonious industrial relations environment across the State.

I work towards the prevention and resolution of industrial disputes through conciliation, dialogue, and consensus-building between workers, employers, and trade unions. A key part of my responsibility is to oversee the effective implementation of labour laws and to strengthen institutional mechanisms that promote industrial peace.

During 2024–25, I have been actively involved in advancing Karnataka-specific labour reforms, including the drafting of the Karnataka Platform-Based Gig Workers (Social Security and Welfare) Bill, the Domestic Workers Bill, and the Karnataka Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Employment and Education Bill, with the objective of extending social protection to vulnerable and emerging segments of the workforce.

I am also leading the State’s preparedness for the implementation of the four Central Labour Codes, including the formulation of Karnataka Rules, stakeholder consultations, and capacity building of field institutions.

Through continuous social dialogue, collaboration with national and international organisations, and technology-enabled governance, I remain committed to building a labour administration that is inclusive, responsive, and future-ready, while upholding the principles of justice, equity, and dignity of labour in Karnataka.
